Men’s ‍Singles Semi-Finals Lineup

Chinese player⁣ Lei Lanxi has advanced to⁢ the semi-finals of the Hong Kong Badminton ⁢Open⁢ after​ defeating‍ Hong Kong’s⁣ Li Zhuoyu 2:1 in the ‍quarter-finals.

Lei Lanxi, ranked 33rd in‍ the‌ world, ⁢lost the first game 16:21⁣ but made a comeback ‍by winning two consecutive games 21:15 and 21:14. ​He⁣ will face Indonesian star ‍Jonatan in the​ semi-finals, who‌ defeated Japan’s No. 5 seed Kodai Naraoka 2:1.

The other⁢ men’s singles ⁢semi-final will be between two-time ⁢Olympic champion ⁣Axelsen of​ Denmark​ and ‍Ginting of Indonesia. Axelsen defeated Chou Tien-cheng⁢ of ⁢the Chinese Taipei team, and Ginting eliminated Wu Yinglun of⁣ the Hong Kong Chinese team.

Women’s ‍Singles Semi-Finals Lineup

No. 3 ⁢seed‌ Han Yue also ⁤fought back from a losing position​ to defeat Aya ​Ohhori of Japan 17:21,⁣ 21:9, 21:15. Han ‌Yue will compete with Thailand’s Li ⁢Meimei for‌ the⁣ final ticket.

Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles‌ Update

In the men’s‍ doubles competition, the Chinese badminton team Huang ⁢Di/Zhou Haodong lost 0:2 to the Chinese Taipei team⁢ Wang Qilin/Qiu ‍Xiangyan. This means all the men’s ‌teams of the Chinese team ⁤have ​been eliminated.

The‌ doubles pair ⁤of the Chinese team ⁢had 1‍ win and 1 loss on the day. Liu Shengshu/Tan Ning defeated the South Korean combination Zheng Nayin/Kim Hye Jung, while Li Wenmei/Jang Shuxian lost to another South Korean⁤ combination. ‌Kim So Young/Kong Hee ⁣Yong.

In the mixed doubles competition, two‍ pairs⁣ from the Chinese team advanced.
