2024 Anqing Seven Counties (Cities) Badminton Team Invitational Tournament

The 2024 Anqing Seven Counties (Cities) Badminton Team Invitational Tournament was held in Taihu County from September 21st to 22nd, as part of the Happy Fitness Action in Anhui Province. The event aimed to enhance interaction and exchanges among brother counties (cities) and improve the competitive level of badminton.

The event was hosted by the Taihu County Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau and organized by the Taihu County Badminton Association. A total of 112 players from 8 teams from Fanchang, Huaining, Susong, Qianshan, Yuexi, Wangjiang, and Taihu competed in the mixed team competition. The final ranking was determined by a single round-robin system.

The tournament featured exciting matches, with players showcasing their agility, flexibility, and skills. After two days of intense competition, the Yuexi team emerged as the winner, followed by the Taihu 2 team, Qianshan team, and Taihu 1 team in the second, third, and fourth places respectively.

The Fanchang team and the Huaining team received the Outstanding Organization Award, while Gui Changsheng of the Fanchang team and Chu Xiaojuan of the Yuexi team were awarded the Best Male and Female Athlete Awards respectively. The Susong team and the Wangjiang team received the Sports Morality Award.

Taihu County has been actively promoting sports events as a platform and cultural tourism as a show, integrating into the development pattern of Dahuangshan and implementing the strategy of enriching the people through culture and tourism. The county has comprehensively promoted the construction of a sports-strong county, explored the integration of sports + cultural tourism, and developed the event economy.
