Competition Overview

The 2024 National Badminton Team Championship was launched on October 28 at the Fuzhou Strait Olympic Sports Center⁣ and will last until November 3. As the highest level badminton event in the country, it is the most important and highest-level national ⁤planned event after the ‌Paris Olympics and before the 15th National Games.

During the competition, 23 teams and more than 450 athletes will participate, including Olympic⁣ champions, Olympic athletes, world champions, and other key​ members. The event results ⁤will determine the seed players and lottery batch rankings of the 15th National Games team competition.

Fujian’s Badminton Heritage

Fujian, as one of the birthplaces ⁣of badminton, is not only the “cradle” for⁢ cultivating badminton champions but also a region with a broad mass base. Fujian has cultivated a total‌ of 32 ​world champions, including Ji Xinpeng, Lin Dan,⁤ Chen Long, Huang Dongping, ‍and other 4 ⁢Olympic champions.

Fujian Province holds more than 2,000 events every year, and ​more than one million people ​regularly participate in ‍badminton. The province has also hosted several influential badminton events, including the “Wang Wenjiao Cup” ​Badminton Open⁣ in 2024, which attracted over 100,000 participants.

Event Organizers

This event is hosted by the Chinese Badminton Association and the Fujian⁢ Provincial Sports⁣ Bureau, ⁤hosted by the Fujian Table Tennis and Badminton Sports Management Center, the Fujian⁣ Badminton⁣ Association, and the Fuzhou Sports Bureau, and co-organized by Jinjiang Zhujiang Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd., and Fuzhou ‌Gucuo‌ Group.
