Radio Kerry Wins Multiple Awards at 2025 IMRO Radio Awards

Radio Kerry Recognized for Excellence
Radio Kerry received a total of three gold, two silver, and one bronze award at the 2025 IMRO radio Awards, held in Kilkenny. the awards celebrate outstanding achievements in the Irish radio industry.
The station was nominated for eight awards demonstrating it’s strong performance throughout the year, according to Radio Kerry News.
Gold Award Winners
deirdre Walsh’s Talkabout program won gold in the Interactive Speech Program category for its episode, ”the Curious Case of the Dog and the Street Light.” Yuliia Riabova was awarded gold in the Gay Byrne Newcomer of the Year category, and JJ O’Shea received a gold award as Specialist Music Broadcaster.

Silver and Bronze Awards
Radio Kerry also secured silver awards for Local Station of the Year and for Niamh Daly’s new Moves in the Irish Music Programme or Initiative category. The bronze award was presented to Heritage Hunters, a short feature series produced by Elaine Kinsella in collaboration with Kerry County Museum.
