Radisson Hotel Group Expands in UK and Spain

Radisson Hotel Group has opened Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa in Shrewsbury, UK. This hotel is part of the Radisson Individuals brand. Additionally, the group has announced plans for a new Radisson Collection hotel in Madrid.

Albrighton Hall Hotel & Spa Details

  • Location: One hour from central Birmingham, UK.
  • Features: 87 guest rooms, fine dining options, meeting and event spaces, a spa, and a fitness suite.
  • Management: Focus Hotels. CEO Devin Grosse highlighted the hotel’s growth and its new affiliation with Radisson will enhance guest experiences.

Peter Cashman, the hotel owner, expressed excitement about joining Radisson Individuals. He emphasized that this partnership will maintain high-quality guest experiences while offering benefits from Radisson Hotel Group.

New Radisson Collection Hotel in Madrid

In Madrid, Radisson plans to open its Collection brand in 2027. The hotel will occupy the Alcalá 21 building. This redevelopment will include:

  • 154 guest rooms and suites over ten floors.
  • Retail spaces on the ground floor.
  • Amenities such as a first-floor restaurant and bar, a rooftop bar and restaurant, and a wellness center with a spa and gym.

Federico J. González, Radisson Hotel Group’s executive vice chairman, stated that this project will help the group grow in Spain. They currently operate eight hotels in the country. This new hotel, developed with Generali Real Estate, will attract both locals and tourists.

Benedetto Giustiniani from Generali Real Estate highlighted the importance of transforming Alcalá 21 into a prestigious hotel. This project adds value to their hotel portfolio and contributes to investing in Madrid’s urban development.
