The General Authority of Meteorological Sciences has forecast the weather for the coming days, indicating rains and continued weather fluctuations until Cairo, especially in the north of the country, where there may be rains of varying intensity, which can sometimes be thunder, with a slight decrease in temperature. This coincided with the start of the second half of the fall semester and the country was hit by its first depression.

The authorities have also confirmed a map of the expected rainfall distribution in the coming days and the governorates that will be affected, noting that 19 governorates, from north to south, will witness thundershowers of varying intensity and these governorates will be included in a specific schedule.
Today, Saturday, 19 governorates will be affected by heavy rains and thunderstorms, which may be accompanied by hail at times, especially in Matruh Governorate area at occasional intervals.
Alexandria, Behera, Kafr El-Sheikh, Dakahlia, Damietta and Port Said governorates will also experience moderate to heavy rain with the possibility of thunder.
Halayeb and Shalatin cities, Gharbia, Menofia, Sharqiya, Ismailia, Suez and some areas of North Sinai, Greater Cairo, Fayum and Beni will experience occasional light to moderate rain and thunder. Suf regions will also be affected by light rains.

Meteorology urges citizens to take necessary precautions
In light of the weather fluctuations witnessed in the country, meteorology has recommended that citizens take necessary precautions and appropriate measures to mitigate the impact of expected weather events.
Expectations indicate that some areas will be exposed to heavy rain and thunderstorms today, especially in the governorates of Matrouh, Alexandria and Kafr el-Sheikh, in addition to the city of Sheikh Zayed in Giza.

The Department of Meteorology explained that the number of governorates affected by rain will decrease as we enter Sunday. Heavy rain and thunderstorms will occur at times over the Matruh Governorate region, in addition to the northwest coast and northern Lower Egypt.
South of the Red Sea Mountains and the northeast coast will also experience moderate rainfall, while southern Lower Egypt and the canal cities will experience light rainfall. On Monday, light to moderate rain is expected over the northern coast and northern Lower Egypt
