TikTok Invites Taiwanese Creators to Celebrate Gay Pride Parade in Thailand for the First Time
The much-anticipated annual LGBT parade will arrive this Saturday on TikTok, the world’s leading short-form video platform, actively responding to the theme “Inclusion, Interweaving and Symbiosis” and launching the hashtag “#ForYourPride” starting in 2021.
For the first time this year, the global LGBTQ+ community and supporters invited three creators from Taiwan and other countries around the world to Thailand. Through short video and audio content, they showed Thailand’s diverse culture and enthusiasm, and with selfless love to the global community, each diverse voice TikTok- This is heard!
Taiwanese Creators Share Their Experience
On behalf of Taiwanese creators, versatile makeup artist Lima (@lima0322), cosplay beauty expert Zhao Zhao (@anzhao.1202), and Tyler Taile (@tylertaile) were invited to Thailand to participate in the 2024 TikTok Thailand Pride Month event.

Lima, who attended for the first time as a Taiwanese creator and an indigenous creator, said: “Through TikTok, we can overcome the language barrier and participate with creators and drag queens from all over the world at this event in Thailand! Introducing Taiwan’s indigenous culture to the world. I highly recommend going there in the future to see the laid-back, rainbow flag-decked streets and lanes and celebrate Pride Month together!”
Creating a More Inclusive Platform
On the platform side, TikTok has launched “Inclusion and Affiliation Guidelines” in the Safety Center, which allows users of diverse backgrounds to find related tools and resources, including the ability to reorder and filter “suggested for you” reporting keywords. Tools for reporting hateful behavior, hate speech, and bullying content and the ability to control who can interact with your content.
TikTok will continue to strive to create a more inclusive platform and continue to create a community and content environment where the community can feel accepted.
