A large number of sports figures, including Korean badminton heroes, badminton elders, coaches, and association officials, are expected to attend the founding ceremony.

The team consisted of seven players who achieved excellent results in national competitions under the guidance of first coach Kim Yong-hyun. The team is currently concentrating on training at a dedicated training ground. Jeonju City provides a stable training environment for players by providing training vehicles and training facilities.

Through the establishment, the city plans to establish a structure in which promising badminton players in the Jeonju region can grow into adult professional teams, and to expand the base of daily sports by operating citizen-friendly programs for badminton enthusiasts.

Kim Yong-un, head of Jeonju City’s Sports Industry Department, said, “I hope that the establishment of the badminton club will serve as an opportunity to raise the status of Jeonju City’s sports and contribute to the development of local sports. We will provide support so that citizens can enjoy and love badminton more closely.”
