China Railway Urban Planning Institute Celebrates 40th Anniversary with “Passion Blooming, Badminton Flying” Friendly Match
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of its establishment, China Railway Urban Planning Institute organized a badminton friendly match, “Passion Blooming, Badminton Flying,” on September 21, 2024. The event aimed to promote the “pioneer” cultural concept of China Railway Construction Corporation, stimulate employees’ enthusiasm for sports, and serve the high-quality development of the enterprise.
The friendly match brought together seven teams from various units, including Wuhu Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, and China Railway Times Institute, with over 50 athletes participating.
The opening ceremony took place at 8:30 am, with Labor Union Chairman Yuan Zhi presiding over the event. Wang Hu, Vice Chairman of the labor union of the group company, attended the competition and expressed his warm welcome to the participating teams. He hoped that the event would foster a positive, healthy, and sunny corporate culture and promote cooperation, exchange, mutual benefit, and win-win outcomes.
Ge Haifeng, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Company, delivered a speech, reviewing the Planning Institute’s 40-year development history. He emphasized that the friendly match was not only a sports competition but also a valuable opportunity for communication and cooperation. He encouraged the participating teams to abide by the rules, respect their opponents, and uphold the sports spirit of “friendship first, competition second.”
The competition was intense and enthusiastic, with athletes showcasing their skills and strength. The badminton flew through the air, drawing beautiful arcs, and every swing was full of power and skill. The event demonstrated the spirit of sports, team cohesion, and the pursuit of victory.
After a day of exciting competition, Wanzhi District Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau emerged as the champion, followed by China Railway Urban Planning Institute in second place. The Municipal Self-regulation Bureau, Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau, Municipal Key Bureau Team, and Wuhu Qianwan Group secured third and fourth places.
The successful event not only showcased the charm of badminton but also reflected the company’s commitment to the concept of “building a stage with events and performing” in business. It enriched the spiritual and cultural life of employees, strengthened interactions between enterprises and local governments, and promoted the integration of enterprise and local resources.
The China Railway Design Plaza Badminton Hall, upgraded and renovated in 2022, has become one of the best badminton halls in Wuhu City. Badminton has become the company’s most influential brand for external exchanges, enhancing its reputation and cultural influence and laying a solid foundation for expanding the local business market.
