MUNICH (AP) — Renowned music producer Ralph Siegel, 79, says he’s feeling “comfortable again” after losing 79 pounds in three months. Siegel, a prominent figure in the Eurovision song Contest (ESC), discussed his weight loss journey in a recent interview.
Weight Loss Injections and Dietary Changes
Siegel attributed his significant weight loss too a combination of weight loss injections and a revamped diet. “I went down to 216 pounds from 295 pounds. I would not have done it with a change in diet alone,” siegel said. He opted for the injections to assist in his weight loss efforts.
His wife, Laura, administered the weekly injections. “after a few days I already had lost about 18 pounds.And whenever I went back to the scales, she showed less weight. Of course there is a joy,” Siegel said. While he has as discontinued the weekly injections, he continues to adhere to his new nutritional plan.
In addition to the injections, Siegel adjusted his eating habits, reducing his portion sizes by half due to the satiety feeling induced by the medication. His new diet emphasizes chicken and fish while minimizing carbohydrates and fats.
