Ramzan Sovi’s Lawyer Responds to WADA’s Decision
Ramadan Sovi’s lawyer Hani Zahran told Al-Watan Sport: “We received a letter from the International Sports Court regarding the World Doping Agency’s appeal after the decision to revoke Ramadan Sovi’s suspension. We were expecting this measure, and we have prepared all the necessary legal procedures for the defense.”
A Decision to Acquit the Player is Expected
He added: “We will uphold the verdict acquitting Ramzan Sovi, as it was appealed by the international body, and we will rely on the reasons issued by the hearing committee to first accept the appeal and declare it null and void in the judgment acquitting Ramzan Sovi and Then the litigation process will begin.
What’s Next for Ramadan Sovi?
Al-Watan Sport has learned that the player has the right to participate in the matches of the Pyramid in the coming period, generally, until the International Court of Sports (CAS) issues a decision or ruling in that case, and which judges and issues the case. The ruling could last until March 2025.
The Egyptian Anti-Doping Agency’s Decision
The Egyptian Anti-Doping Agency, specifically on July 17, 2024, announced the lifting of the Ramadan Sovi suspension and made the following decision by majority:

- Immediately lift the mandatory provisional suspension imposed on the player.
