Ranjuo Tomblin Wins European Artistic Swimming Championship

Ranjuo Tomblin captured the men’s solo technical title at the European Artistic Swimming Championships in Madeira, spearheading Great Britain’s extraordinary haul of six medals. Tomblin’s gold in the solo technical event, with a score of 234.4225, underscored his dominance.He edged out Filippo Pelati by 1.7966 points, while Dennis gonzalez Boneu of Spain secured the bronze.
The 19-year-old Tomblin also earned a bronze in the solo free event this year, adding to his medal count in the mixed competitions. This performance follows his historic win last year, were he became the first British male to clinch a European artistic swimming title.
In their debut championship appearance together, Tomblin and Olympic silver medalist Izzy Thorpe secured silver in the mixed duet technical event. Tomblin also teamed up with holly Hughes,earning a bronze in the mixed duet free.
This year marked the first time the competition was held as a stand-alone event, previously being part of the multi-discipline European Aquatics Championships.
