Kansas City ‍Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is ⁢on track to join the team for training ‍camp in July, coach Andy Reid said Thursday.⁣ Rice has been recovering ⁣from a knee injury ⁣sustained during the 2024 season. Reid noted that Rice has been a full participant in voluntary OTAs and ⁢mandatory minicamp.

“They’re both ready to go,” Reid said, referring to Rice and rookie offensive tackle Josh Simmons. “They actually got great work in⁣ in these camps here.” Rice had surgery in ‍October to repair a torn LCL.

Before the⁢ injury, Rice recorded 24 receptions for 288 yards and three touchdowns in just four games. His ⁢return is a significant boost for the Chiefs’ offense, especially after DeAndre ⁢Hopkins’ departure to the baltimore Ravens and Travis Kelce entering his age ⁣36 season.
