A secret ⁢mechanical bull ride, tucked away inside “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart,” has been unearthed four ⁤years⁤ after the game’s release. Grant Parker, ⁣senior ⁤designer, revealed the‍ existence of this hidden minigame ⁢during an Insomniac Games live stream.

The Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart minigame, located at zurkie’s space ‍station in Rivet’s dimension, was not fully⁣ completed but instead of being cut, Parker devised an intricate method to conceal it. The hidden content remained a secret until Parker demonstrated the steps this week.

To⁤ unlock the secret minigame, players ⁢must stand at the entrance ⁤of Zurkie’s, where signs reading “no weapons” are displayed.Parker explained that players need to shoot ⁢the left sign five times, the right sign four times, and then the left sign another 13 times. No audio cue confirms the code’s correct entry.

Once the code is entered, players can ‍activate the mechanical bull ride by holding L2. The objective is to maintain balance using the right analog stick. A failed ⁣attempt results in Rivet simply reappearing on the floor, ready ⁤for another try.

What’s next

While there are no confirmed plans for a new “Ratchet & ⁢Clank”⁣ installment, “Rift Apart” was released on PC in 2023, and the hidden minigame is presumed to be accessible in that version as well. Players can now explore this newly discovered game easter egg.
