China’s‍ Economic Stimulus Package Expected ‍to Boost US Stocks

China’s surprise interest rate cut on the 24th ‍is sending a warm wind through global stock‌ markets. Although the impact was halved when the U.S. consumer ⁣confidence index in September fell below the benchmark of 100, expectations are high that China is ⁤embarking on a full-scale economic ‍stimulus.

China’s rate⁣ cuts and economic stimulus are also ⁤good news for U.S. stocks. In particular, Apple, Nike, and Tesla⁢ are expected to benefit.

M7 Big Tech Stocks to Benefit from China’s Stimulus Package

China’s stimulus package is expected to be a boon for M7 ⁤Big Tech stocks, particularly Apple and⁣ Tesla.⁤ Both⁣ Apple and Tesla are heavily dependent on the Chinese market. Both companies have established production bases in China and generate ⁢a significant portion of their sales from China.

Tesla, in particular, is expected to be⁤ the biggest beneficiary of this rate cut. The U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) cut its benchmark interest rate by ⁢0.5 percentage points on the 18th (local time), fueling expectations for increased demand for electric vehicles ‍in the U.S.‍ Following ⁣the same 0.5 percentage point cut in interest rates in China ⁢on the 24th, the outlook for increased domestic demand in China has also improved.

Electric vehicles are expensive, so not⁤ many consumers buy them in‌ one lump sum. Most people buy electric vehicles by ⁤paying a set amount and paying‌ the rest in monthly installments. The interest rate cut acts as a catalyst to stimulate electric vehicle purchases by lowering auto‍ loan interest ‍rates.

Other Companies Expected to Benefit from⁢ China’s Economic Stimulus

Apple could benefit too. Even if ‌you buy a smartphone on installment, the ⁢benefit from the interest rate decline is not that⁣ great, but if the economy becomes active due to the economic stimulus package, demand for smartphones may increase.

Companies that do business with‍ Chinese consumers, including Nike, are also beneficiaries of the ‍interest rate cut. If China ⁢begins to ‌stimulate its economy, starting with interest rate cuts, consumer goods ‍companies including Nike could see their sales in China increase again.

Manufacturing and equipment manufacturers are also beneficiaries of the Chinese economic stimulus package. Corning, an electronic ⁤equipment company, earned about ⁣a third of its total sales in China last⁣ year.

Semiconductor companies such as Nvidia, Intel, and Texas Instruments (TI) are also expected to benefit from increased demand. Also benefiting from the Chinese economic ⁣stimulus⁤ are semiconductor equipment manufacturers such as Applied Materials and Lam Research.

Challenges Ahead for China’s Economic Recovery

However, some point out that even if China’s interest⁤ rate cut opens the door to economic recovery, there is still‌ a long way to ‌go. The Goldman Sachs analyst team said in an analysis note on the 24th that China has embarked on a new round‌ of monetary easing ahead of stimulating‍ the real economy, and that additional demand-side easing policies, particularly fiscal easing, are‌ needed to improve China’s growth outlook.
