Overview
The Paris public transportation authority is restructuring its bus network through two delegated service contracts (DSP - Délégation de Service Public): DSP n°48 covering the “left bank” sector, and DSP n°49 covering the “right bank” sector. Thes contracts involve significant portions of Paris and surrounding municipalities, impacting numerous bus lines and operational centers.
DSP n° 48: Left Bank Sector
DSP n°48 encompasses the central,southern,and western districts of Paris,extending service to several surrounding municipalities. Specifically, this lot serves Boulogne-Billancourt, issy-les-Moulineaux, Vanves, Bagneux, Montrouge, Malakoff, and Levallois-Perret.
A total of 25 bus lines are included in this contract, supported by four bus operational centers: Lebrun, Croix-Nivert, Corentin (all in Paris), and Malakoff (in the town of Malakoff). These centers are crucial for maintenance, dispatch, and personnel management.
DSP n° 49: Right Bank Sector
DSP n°49 primarily covers the northeastern part of Paris, extending services to Montreuil, Bagnolet, Vincennes, Romainville, Les Lilas, and Rosny-sous-Bois. This sector is characterized by higher population density and diverse transportation needs.
This contract includes 41 bus lines, notably incorporating 11 dedicated night bus lines to provide service during off-peak hours. Three Parisian bus operational centers support these lines: Belliard,Nation,and Lilas.
