The Atlanta Falcons host the Baltimore Ravens in a Week 5 prime-time matchup on October 11, 2026, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, featuring a clash between star running backs Bijan Robinson and Derrick Henry amid uncertainties surrounding Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s ankle injury, according to atlantafalcons.com and USA Today.
Who Will Start at Quarterback for Baltimore?
Lamar Jackson’s availability remains the central question for the Ravens following an ankle injury sustained during a Week 5 win against Tennessee, according to USA Today reporting from Bill Speros. Jackson was seen in a boot after the game. If Jackson sits or plays with limitations, backup Tyler Huntley is capable of stepping in, though analysts note that would give Atlanta’s defense more freedom to crowd Derrick Henry and force Baltimore to throw, as detailed by Adam Kaufman for USA Today.
How Are the Falcons Performing Under Michael Penix Jr.?
The Falcons enter the contest riding a sharp turnaround behind quarterback Michael Penix Jr., averaging a league-high 40 points per game over their last two outings after mustering just eight points per game through the first two weeks under Cooper Rush, according to USA Today analysis by Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz. Bijan Robinson has fueled that offensive surge by piling up 360 total yards and three touchdowns over the past two weeks, as reported by atlantafalcons.com.
What Are the Betting Odds and Expert Predictions?
Expert predictions are split on the outcome. Adam Kaufman and Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz both project close victories for Atlanta at 24-20 and 28-24 respectively, while Blake Schuster forecasts a 24-21 overtime win for the Falcons. Conversely, projection models from outlets like Dimers and ESPN give Baltimore win probabilities ranging from 58.2% to 62.5%. Opening lines listed the Ravens as 4.5-point favorites with a moneyline of Ravens -198 and Falcons +164, along with an over/under total of 48.5 points, while current BetMGM Sportsbook odds have Baltimore as a 3.5-point favorite, priced at -190 on the moneyline and Atlanta at +155 with the over/under set at 45.5 points.
How Are Fans Preparing for Sunday Night Football?
The Falcons organization has announced a Red Out for the primetime affair, asking fans inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium to wear red to match the team’s jerseys. We need all our fans to show up,
Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. said, as reported by atlantafalcons.com. We’re super excited to be back home. Obviously, we’ve been away these past couple weeks, so super excited to be back in front of our home crowd.
Falcons players expect a true home-field advantage on Sunday night.
