Saturday, February 14th, Ray J performed a concert in Shreveport, Louisiana, that sparked widespread concern among fans after videos surfaced showing blood dripping from his eyes and a medical device visible on his chest. The performance came shortly after the singer publicly shared that doctors had informed him he may have only months to live.

Footage from the Valentine’s Day concert, shared widely on social media platform X, depicts Ray J handing out roses to the audience while wearing black sunglasses. Blood is visibly flowing from beneath the sunglasses, down his face. He later removed an orange top during the performance, revealing a monitor attached to his chest.

The singer had posted a video on Facebook prior to the concert, stating, “I’m putting my life on the line for this show!!”

Ray J, 45, has been open about recent health struggles. In January, he revealed in an Instagram video that he had been hospitalized for pneumonia and heart pain. He stated that doctors had told him his heart was functioning at a reduced capacity and warned him he might only have months to live without significant medical intervention.

According to reports, Ray J is currently prescribed an aggressive regimen of medications, including heart-failure drugs like Entresto and Jardiance, and a cholesterol medication such as Lipitor. Surgeons have discussed the possibility of implanting a pacemaker or defibrillator, with a follow-up appointment scheduled to determine the best course of action.

The concert also featured performances by Kelly Price and Bobby Valentino.

Ray J has publicly acknowledged that past substance use may have contributed to his current health issues. In a recent livestream, he reflected on years of alcohol and drug use, stating, “I thought I was so big so I could handle all the alcohol, I could handle all the Adderall, the drugs… but I couldn’t. It curved my time.”

Representatives for Ray J have not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the concert or his current condition, according to reports.
