RAYE and Mark Ronson Join Forces on New Single ⁣’Suzanne’

British singer‍ RAYE has ⁤released “Suzanne,” ‌a new single in collaboration‌ with‌ producer Mark Ronson.​ The song marks the first official⁣ partnership between ‍the pair, though RAYE previously worked at Ronson’s‌ London studio early in her⁢ career.

The collaboration⁣ between RAYE and‌ Mark Ronson was facilitated by Audemars Piguet’s‌ APxMusic series, celebrating the watchmaker’s 150th anniversary. Ronson ​expressed admiration for RAYE’s evolution as an artist, noting ‍the collaboration felt‍ like perfect timing.

The⁣ pair recorded “Suzanne” ⁣during⁣ late-night sessions in London, New​ York,⁣ and Los Angeles. Ronson ⁤said the resulting music blends ‌their individual styles ‍and takes them to new creative ‍territory.

RAYE⁣ acknowledged initial reservations⁢ about working with ⁤Ronson, given the comparisons between her and Amy Winehouse, with whom ronson ‌famously collaborated.Speaking with *People* at Governors Ball,RAYE emphasized she ​coudl never ⁤replace Winehouse,but ultimately decided to embrace the opportunity ​to work⁣ with a​ producer she ⁢has long ‍admired.

“Everything about how ‌this song came to exist, and this moment with Mark and AP,⁤ feels⁢ meant to be,” RAYE said. “I used to work in Mark Ronson’s London studio when I was a baby artist focusing ​on my songwriting​ craft, and⁤ always dreamed ‍of‌ the day‌ I could one day work with the musical genius that is Ronson.”
