RCB Snub: Pant’s Shocking Transfer Bid Rejected by Kohli, Delhi Legend Sets the Record Straight
IPL Transfer Rumors: Rishabh Pant Reacts to Fake News
The Indian Premier League (IPL) mega star auction is set to take place, and rumors are circulating about player transfers. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has yet to release guidelines on the number of players teams can retain.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that teams may be allowed to retain up to five players, which would result in many top players being let go. Former Mumbai captain Rohit Sharma, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Faf Duplessis, Glenn Maxwell, and Lucknow KL star Rahul are among those rumored to be playing for new teams in the upcoming season.
A recent social media post claimed that Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant had contacted Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to join the team, but was rejected by Virat Kohli. However, Pant has since denied these rumors, taking to social media to express his frustration.
“Fake news, why are you spreading so much fake news on social media? Be wise, it’s too bad. Don’t create an atmosphere of distrust for nothing. It’s not the first or the last, but the response is compelling. Always check your source for such news. It is getting worse day by day. Not just for you. It is also for people who spread wrong information.”
Pant has been with Delhi Capitals since his IPL debut in 2016 and became the team captain in 2021. He missed the entire 2023 season due to injury but returned to the team last season.
