Iconic Car‍ Seat Maker Recaro⁤ Gets New Lease on Life with Italian‍ Investment

Kirchheim unter Teck, ⁤Germany – After months of uncertainty, German​ automotive seat manufacturer recaro, renowned for its high-performance car seats, is set for a comeback. Following a July bankruptcy ⁣filing, the company has secured a lifeline through a strategic investment from Proma Group, an‌ Italian ‌automotive seating manufacturer.

Proma has ​inked a deal to take control of Recaro, with plans to resume ⁤production as early as next year. The move will see proma retain ​key‍ personnel from Recaro’s‌ sales and technology departments at its ​headquarters in Kirchheim unter Teck,Germany,which currently employs 215 people and houses a production facility.

Though,some of Recaro’s production⁤ will be shifted to Proma’s existing 26 manufacturing⁢ plants ​across three continents.

This acquisition will not affect Recaro’s North American and Japanese operations, which will remain autonomous. Additionally, Recaro’s divisions focused on aircraft, office, gaming, and ⁣baby seats will also remain unaffected.
