Pettitt’s Supervalu in Athy hosted its annual senior citizens party on November 26. This event, celebrating 30 years of tradition, had a record turnout this year. The gathering was full of joy and community spirit.

Sláintecare Athy joined the celebration to promote their Healthy Communities initiative. They held a sign-up competition and awarded food hampers to winners Carmel Whelan and Catherine Cahill.

Pettitt’s manager, Pat Maher, stated that the event occurs on the last Tuesday of November from 6 to 8 PM. He shared, “It’s the busiest one we have ever had.” The store cleared an aisle to set up tables and chairs. Attendees enjoyed cakes, sandwiches, tea, and coffee. Music was provided by singers Larry and Mary.
