Staff at the accommodation became concerned when the guest’s skis were not found in the ski room, but his mobile phone remained in his room. police initially checked hospitals and doctors’ offices, but the man was nowhere to be found. They eventually discovered that the missing skier had last passed through the turnstile of the Pardatschgratbahn cable car shortly before 10:00 AM on Thursday.

Large-Scale Search Operation

This morning, the Silvretta ski patrol noticed a snow slab measuring 60 meters wide and 90 meters long, with a fracture layer between 20 and 60 centimeters deep. This prompted a large-scale search operation involving the Alpine police, several mountain rescue teams, and a dog team.
