Lebanon’s Civil Defense Warns of Drowning Danger Amid High Waves
The General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued a warning about the dangers of drowning due to high waves, strong winds, and powerful water currents along Lebanon’s beaches.
According to the warning, beachgoers are advised to exercise extreme caution when engaging in swimming activities and to follow public safety guidelines to minimize the risk of drowning.
Additionally, the Civil Defense has cautioned water sports and paragliding enthusiasts to refrain from participating in any activities during this unstable weather period.
Owners of tourist boats docked in harbors are also advised to inspect the stability of their mooring ropes to prevent any accidents.
In case of an emergency, citizens, residents, and tourists are reminded to call 125 for assistance.
