On September 25, the Chinese Embassy in the UK held a reception to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Zheng Zeguang, the Chinese Ambassador to the UK, delivered a speech.

On September 25, the Chinese Embassy in the UK held a grand reception to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The event was attended by over 500 guests, including prominent figures from various walks of life in the UK, diplomatic envoys from different countries, overseas Chinese in the UK, personnel from Chinese-funded institutions, and representatives of international students.

In his speech, Zheng Zeguang highlighted the remarkable achievements made by the Communist Party of China since the founding of New China 75 years ago. He emphasized that China’s comprehensive national strength has achieved a historic leap, and the country is now providing strong impetus for the global economy and injecting positive energy into world peace and stability. Zheng Zeguang also expressed his confidence in the future of Sino-British relations, stating that the two countries should work together to implement the important consensus reached by their leaders, adhere to the principle of mutual respect, strengthen contact and dialogue, expand exchanges and cooperation, and build a stable and mutually beneficial bilateral relationship.

Guests at the Reception
More than 500 people, including people from all walks of life in the UK, diplomatic envoys from various countries in the UK, overseas Chinese in the UK, personnel from Chinese-funded institutions, and representatives of international students attended the reception.

The reception was filled with a warm and friendly atmosphere, with guests speaking highly of the brilliant achievements made by the People’s Republic of China in the past 75 years. They expressed their willingness to continue contributing to promoting Sino-British exchanges and cooperation and enhancing the friendship between the two peoples.

Chinese and Foreign Artists Performing
Chinese and foreign artists sang “I Love You China” at the reception.

A video clip reflecting China’s economic and social development achievements was played at the reception. Artists from China and the UK, as well as the choir of the Chinese Embassy in the UK and the choir of the China Construction Bank London Branch, performed wonderful cultural programs, winning rounds of applause and cheers.
