Strengthening Bilateral Relations: Burundi’s Presidential Couple Arrives in China
Warmly welcomed in China, the President and First Lady of Burundi arrived for the Sino-African Forum, with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations.
Beijing, China – September 3, 2024 – As part of Sino-Burundian cooperation, the presidential couple of Burundi, HE Ndayubaha Angéline, First Lady of Burundi, and HE Ndayishimiye Evariste, Major General, President of Burundi, accompanied by Mr. Shingiro Albert, the outstanding Burundian Minister for Foreign Affairs, were warmly welcomed by Chinese officials, including Ms. Zhao JiangPing, Chinese Ambassador to Burundi, as well as by the Chinese people. The presidential couple will participate in the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, scheduled for September 4-6, 2024. China, one of the founding members of BRICS +, is a key player in the new multipolar world order, seeking to write a new page in international trade, especially with its New Silk Roads.
