Zakary Bauman Called Up to Ukraine U19 Squad
Manchester United’s 17-year-old midfielder Zakary Bauman has received a call-up to the Ukraine U19 national team, as reported by Sport.ua.
Bauman will join the Ukrainian U19 squad, comprising players born after 2006, and participate in the first qualifying match for the UEFA U19 Euro.
Following the acquisition of a Ukrainian passport in October, courtesy of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF), Bauman is now eligible to represent Ukraine on the international stage.
This season, Bauman has made nine appearances for Manchester United’s youth team, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
The UEFA U19 Euro Qualifiers will take place in the Netherlands from November 13th to 19th. Ukraine will face host nation Netherlands, Slovenia, and Kazakhstan. The top two teams will advance to the elite round.
