Red Digital Cinema is bringing next-generation live broadcast technology and its V-Raptor camera systems to RAI Amsterdam for IBC 2026, according to reports from Cinematography World and SVG Europe. The company’s showcase at stand 11.C35 aims to bridge the gap between high-end cinema image quality and the speed required for live broadcast environments.

Immersive Sports and Live 8K Production

The centerpiece demonstration at the Red stand features a fully rigged boxing environment designed to highlight immersive sports broadcasting. According to SVG Europe, Red V-Raptor cameras mounted in the truss above the ring are fitted with dual fisheye spherical lenses to capture 8K video at 50 frames per second. This footage streams over fiber in real time via Red Connect directly to Apple Vision Pro headsets, creating a live, 180-degree immersive viewing experience.

Cine-Broadcast Workflows and Multi-Camera Setups

SVG Europe reports that the Cine-Broadcast showcase gives attendees a look at how V-Raptor XL [X] and V-Raptor [X] units power real 4K 240p super-slow-motion replays, dynamic Steadicam ring-walk coverage, and shoulder-mounted broadcast capture. Camera feeds route to a fully equipped control desk featuring leading remote control panels (RCPs) and switching hardware, demonstrating an end-to-end broadcast workflow on the show floor. Additional workflow demonstrations on the booth include a V-Raptor XL [X] mounted on a Dinky Dolly with anamorphic glass, full lens control, and live wireless feeds to a Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) cart for real-time adjustments, color work, and editorial tasks. Handheld V-Raptor XE and Komodo-X rigs round out the physical display, highlighting compact options for dynamic cinematic productions.

Industry Deployments and Partner Showcases

Red’s Cine-Broadcast Module has already seen active deployment on events broadcast by CBS Sports, NBC Sports Group, and live streams on Netflix, as noted by SVG Europe. Fuse Technical Group has integrated Red cameras into live event infrastructure for tours featuring Zach Bryan, Rush, and Jay-Z. Furthermore, the technology supported Epic Cinema in capturing David Guetta’s The Ultimate Monolith Show at Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France earlier this year. Beyond its own booth, Red equipment will appear across the IBC show floor at partner stands, including EVS, Roe, Atomos, and Datavideo. Red is also scheduled to take the stage at SVG’s Europe Summit in Amsterdam on 10 September 2026. Alongside Gravity Media, company speakers will discuss why event owners demand high-end visual coverage and how productions like the Six Kings Slam achieved a cinematic style.
