Registration opens for “Bioethics for the promotion of life” Seminar

An opportunity to reflect on the ethical challenges faced by society today in relation to life and human dignity, under the guidance of experts in the field, will be the seminar “Bioethics for promoting life”, which will be held on October 16 and 17, 2024 in Neuadd Rancagua Diocesan Auditorium. This event, organized by the Diocese of Rancagua and Identes Missionaries, is part of the Diocese’s centenary celebrations.

The seminar, which will be held over two days, will address critical issues that affect the dignity of the person and human life, from an academic and humanitarian perspective. The conferences, which will last 40 minutes each, will focus on offering authentic methods of dealing with the problems that science and culture present to the conscience of human beings, Catholic or not, in the current society in Chile.

Wednesday, October 16:

– Msgr. Guillermo Vera (Bishop of Rancagua): Presentation of the Seminar in the context of the Diocese’s Centenary.

– Ángel Rodríguez G.: The dignity of the human person, from fertilization to death.

– Manuel J. Santos Alcántara: The beginning of the life of a human being from a scientific-biological point of view.

– Raúl Caulier Cisterna: Artificial intelligence for life.

Thursday, October 17:

– Mauricio Besio R.: Therapeutic abortion.

– Jorge Neira M.: Rape in Chile today. Accompany-es. I got up.

– Francisco Mardones S.: Teenage pregnancy in Chile, today.
