# Beyond the Runway: Finding Confidence and Sisterhood in a Modelling Atelier
The glitz and glamour of the fashion world might seem distant for many, but for a group of women, a recent modelling atelier offered a transformative experience, proving that confidence and self-revelation can be found at any age. Mrs Elizabeth wong, co-founder of Rexults Group, which offers aesthetic and wellness services, was among those who participated in the intensive program.
## A Journey of Self-Discovery
The atelier, a splurge at $800, promised more than just runway walks and posing techniques. For participants like Mrs Wong, it delivered a palpable boost of confidence, particularly in the post-menopause years.”I know how to walk taller, do my make-up better and wear more flattering clothes – small details that can make a huge difference to how a woman carries herself,” she shared.
The program involved individual pitching sessions during mock casting calls. Mrs Wong recalled her experience pitching a jewelry product, attempting to convey three distinct moods – proud, peaceful, and graceful – while fumbling with the brand’s tagline. Following these pitches, agencies took photos for each model’s comp card, a crucial tool listing personal data and measurements, which are then sent to prospective clients for potential casting calls.
## More Than Just Modelling
The camaraderie built during the atelier was a significant highlight. As the day concluded, participants erupted in joyous celebration, sharing their accomplishments and creating TikTok videos to commemorate their journey from strangers to friends. This shared experience fostered a strong sense of sisterhood, a stark contrast to the competitive modelling environment frequently enough portrayed in mass media.
“After the first course, I realised it was doing far more than just teaching modelling. It was transforming lives. The women came out standing taller, both literally and emotionally,” said Kraal, the atelier’s instructor. He was particularly moved by the resilience of participants, including a cancer warrior who attended every class despite undergoing treatment, and another woman navigating a painful divorce.
## Reclaiming Your Story
Kraal emphasized the deeper purpose of the modelling program. “Another woman, going through a painful divorce, told me after her first runway walk, ‘I never imagined I could feel this powerful again.’ Moments like these show that modelling here is about much more than appearances. It is indeed about reclaiming your story and stepping forward with grace and confidence.”
The atelier provided a new tribe of supportive “gal pals” whose infectious zest for life inspired participants. Their willingness to embrace new challenges and chase their dreams, coupled with their unwavering mutual support, created an environment of empowerment and shared growth. This experience underscored that true beauty and strength lie not just in outward appearance, but in the inner confidence and sisterhood forged along the way.
