Remembering Carmel Garvey: Funeral Details and Tributes

Carmel Garvey (née Spain) passed away peacefully at Friars Lodge Nursing Home on November 23rd, 2024, at the age of 79. She was surrounded by her family during her final moments.

Carmel was predeceased by her husband Tom, her parents Bridget and Chrisy, and her brothers George, Pascal, Kieran, and Brendan. She is survived by her sons Micheal and Brian, her sister Margaret, and daughters-in-law Gretta and Karen. She also leaves behind grandchildren Dillon, Thomas, Jack, and Dillon, along with nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and neighbors.

Her funeral arrangements include a reposing at Halla Thuar Mhic Èadaigh from 6:00 PM on Monday evening, followed by a removal at 8:00 PM to Partry Church. The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 noon, with burial to follow in Tourmakeady cemetery.
