Belmullet, Ireland – A pall of grief has fallen over the close-knit community of belmullet, county Mayo, as news spreads of the tragic passing of 24-year-old Peadar Togher in Hamilton, New Zealand. The Togher family is receiving condolences at McDonnell’s Funeral Home in Belmullet on Monday evening from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at St. brendan’s Church in Tirrane on Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m., followed by burial in Emlybeg cemetery.
Recognizing the widespread impact of Peadar’s loss, the family has arranged for a live stream of the funeral Mass on McDonnell Funeral Directors’ Facebook page on wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. A recording of all funeral services will also be available for viewing on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
The family has requested privacy at their home on Wednesday morning.
