Obituary for Rita Flannery

Rita Flannery passed away peacefully at the North West Hospice in Sligo. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Rita was from ‘Springmount’ in Tubbercurry, County Sligo, and she was formerly of Carrickart, County Donegal. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Sean, her brothers Paddy, Danny, Bill, and her son-in-law Tom Carmody.

Rita is deeply mourned by her family: Evelyn, Enda, Una, Maeve, Louis, and Lorcan. She is also missed by her daughter-in-law Jennifer, her grandchildren Aifric, Eithne, Aengus, and Emma, and her extended family, friends, neighbours, and relatives.

Funeral Arrangements

Rita will repose in the family home on Sunday from 2 PM to 5 PM. The removal will take place on Monday morning, leading to St. John The Evangelist Church in Tubbercurry for requiem Mass at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Rhue Cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations can be made to North West Hospice Sligo if desired.
