Remembering the victims of the Markale bloodbath – TVSA.BA
Organized by the Authorities of Sarajevo Canton, delegations embody representatives of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Canton and Metropolis of Sarajevo, municipal municipalities, associations of civil battle victims, relations of victims. , in addition to the residents of Sarajevo paid tribute to the victims by laying flowers, reciting the Fatiha and observing a minute of silence that occurred 29 years in the past on the northern entrance of the Markale Metropolis Market constructing.
On behalf of Civic Centar, flowers had been laid and tributes had been paid to the martyred civilians by Chief Srđan Mandić and a companion from the service for veterans, disabled and social safety Amra Sabrihafizović Hajdarević. Centar Municipal Council councilors Aida Koluder Agić, Velija Katica, Dženan Mulić, Hamdija Hasanović and Samir Fazlić additionally attended the protest.
A 120 mm grenade fired from the attacking positions exploded on Trebević amongst a bunch of residents who had been shopping for meals for survival in entrance of the Market. On that tragic day, 43 of our fellow residents misplaced their lives, whereas 84 different individuals had been critically and evenly wounded.

Omer Ajanović, Hidajet Alić, Salko Alić, Zeno Bašević, Husein Baktašević, Sevda Brkan- Kruščica, Vera Brutus-Dukić, Halida Cepić, Paša Crnčalo, Mejra Cocaličalić, Mejra Cocalić , Salko Duraković, Alija Dževlan, Najla Fazlić, Rijad Garbo, Ibrahim Hajvaz, Meho Herceglić, Jasmina Hodžić, Hajrudin Hozo, Jusuf Hašimbegović, Adnan Ibrahimagić, Ilija Karanović, Mesudija Kerović, Vehid Komarić, Kühamić , Ismet Klarić, Masija Lončar, Osman Mahmutović, Senad Muratović, Goran Poturković, Blaženka Smoljan, Hamid Smajlhodžić, Hajro Šatrović, Samir Topuzović, Hamza Tunović, Ajdin Vukotić, Sabaheta Vukotić, Meho Zećo and Naiga.

Radovan Karadžić, former president of Republika Srpska, was sentenced to life imprisonment in March 2019 for wartime terrorism towards the residents of Sarajevo, together with two massacres in Markale, in addition to Ratko Mladić, chief of the Normal Employees of the Military of Republika Srpska (VRS ).
