Renowned songwriter Young Lead, known for penning hits for iconic singers like Su Rui and Zhang Huimei, passed away today at the age of 73 following a heart attack.
The news, shared by author Zhao Lihua on weibo, sent shockwaves through the music industry. Zhao’s post stated that Yang li, Young Lead’s real name, died at 11:20 am after rescue efforts proved unsuccessful.
“We will miss his music and his attitude towards life,” Zhao wrote. ”His persistence in passion and beauty. Now, he obeyed heavenly Father’s call and returned to heavenly father’s arms. May he rest in peace in heaven.”
Young Lead,born in 1951,left an indelible mark on the Chinese music scene.
