Hospitalization Forces South Korean Lawmaker to Pause Schedule
South Korean lawmaker Chung Chung-rae has been hospitalized following a sudden physical collapse, citing extreme fatigue, chills, and high fever after days of being unable to eat or drink.
The announcement came via a social media update published on Sept. 18, 2026. Chung shared the news directly on his official Facebook account to detail his current medical status and explain his abrupt absence from scheduled political activities. The legislator stated that his body had reached its limit, viewing the hospital admission as a mandatory pause.
Severe Exhaustion and Days Without Nourishment
Reports leading up to his admission indicate that the lawmaker had been physically depleted. He was unable to consume water starting Sept. 16, 2026.
Medical professionals intervened by placing him on intravenous drips to stabilize his condition after he experienced severe physical strain, chills, and a high fever.
Direct Words From the Hospital Bed
Addressing the public from a medical facility, Chung offered a candid assessment of his health.
몸에 무리가 생겼다. 잠시 쉬어가라는 뜻으로 알고 병원에 있다
