Xbox Series S Technical Issues

Despite the general launch, players on the Xbox Series S console are facing a significant game-breaking bug. This specific issue is a save-destroying bug that occurs during Chapter 5 of the campaign. According to reports from IGN, the problem does not affect those playing on Steam or Xbox Series X.

The technical cause of the failure is related to system memory. Sad Cat Studios informed IGN that on the Series S, the game can experience a memory-related hang in the transition between Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 if the game has been played in a single session up to this point.

To mitigate the risk of losing progress, the developer recommends that Series S players quit and restart the game during Chapter 4 to clear the console’s RAM.

Beyond the memory hang, the Xbox Series S version also contains incomplete endgame cinematics, although these sequences are finished and functional on other platforms.

Patch and Resolution Timeline

Sad Cat Studios has committed to resolving these Series S issues through a software update. The developer planned to have a patch aimed at fixing the memory hang move through certification on April 15, 2026, with the intention for it to go live shortly thereafter.
