Reporters Clash Live on Air: A Friendly Rivalry Between Chilean Morning Shows
morning Show Mayhem: Reporters Clash in Live TV Turf War
A lighthearted rivalry erupted on Chilean morning television when reporters from competing shows unexpectedly crossed paths during a live broadcast, leaving viewers amused and anchors in stitches.
Delfina Gómez, reporting for Canal 13‘s “Tu Día,” was interviewing a couple being inspected by authorities in Cerro Navia when Tomás cancino, a reporter for Chilevisión’s “Contigo en la Mañana,” suddenly appeared on camera, attempting to interview the same subjects.
The unexpected interruption caught the attention of “Contigo en la Mañana” anchors José Luis repenning and Priscilla Vargas, who jokingly alerted Gómez to the situation.
“¡Te están quitando los entrevistados,Delfi!” Vargas exclaimed, prompting Gómez to playfully confront Cancino.
“¿Nos viste en Tu Día, Tomás? Gracias por venir a nuestro despacho,” Gómez quipped, to which Cancino retorted, “gracias por interrumpir nuestro despacho.”
The exchange sparked laughter in the studio and online, with viewers enjoying the lighthearted banter between the reporters. Despite the playful rivalry, the encounter ended with a cordial New Year’s hug.
Back in the Chilevisión studio, anchors Julio César Rodríguez, Allison Göhler, and Roberto Cox playfully teased Cancino about a supposed flirtation with Gómez, adding to the amusement.
This isn’t the first time these two reporters have found themselves in a similar situation. A few months ago, they engaged in a similar on-air encounter, further fueling the pleasant rivalry between the morning shows.
