Resident Evil Requiem: Action and Stealth Blend

by Lisa Park - Tech Editor

Capcom⁢ invited⁢ REFORMA to preview three segments of the⁤ game through its ‍public relations agency in Mexico. Some were shown in a showcase published on YouTube on January 15th, and another was a surprise.

At the hotel Presidente Intercontinental, Capcom⁤ gathered⁤ reporters and influencers last week to experience three hours⁣ of horror, anguish, ‌despair, excitement, and joy from this work directed by Koshi Nakanishi, who previously led Resident Evil ⁣7: Biohazard.

There were no technical‍ explanations or story details. They ensured a spoiler-free experience, with only a few recommendations ⁤from Hugo Juárez, Capcom Latin‍ America’s communication ⁤and ⁢localization ‌manager, before ‌entering the Rhodes Hill‌ Care Center, the setting for this preview.

The center reminded⁣ me ⁤of the original Resident Evil. The architecture and interiors feel familiar, like Spencer Mansion. In the first segment, ⁤playing as ‍leon S. Kennedy, the‍ studio filled the environment with unsettling‌ elements, such as a cold color palette ⁢of greens, blues, browns, grays, and whites.
