Capcom invited REFORMA to preview three segments of the game through its public relations agency in Mexico. Some were shown in a showcase published on YouTube on January 15th, and another was a surprise.
At the hotel Presidente Intercontinental, Capcom gathered reporters and influencers last week to experience three hours of horror, anguish, despair, excitement, and joy from this work directed by Koshi Nakanishi, who previously led Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
There were no technical explanations or story details. They ensured a spoiler-free experience, with only a few recommendations from Hugo Juárez, Capcom Latin America’s communication and localization manager, before entering the Rhodes Hill Care Center, the setting for this preview.
The center reminded me of the original Resident Evil. The architecture and interiors feel familiar, like Spencer Mansion. In the first segment, playing as leon S. Kennedy, the studio filled the environment with unsettling elements, such as a cold color palette of greens, blues, browns, grays, and whites.
