In a statement released June 4, Hooters called the decision to close stores a “difficult” one. The company emphasized that the⁣ affected locations were company-owned.”Hooters will ⁣be well-positioned to continue our iconic legacy under a pure ⁣franchise business model,” the statement read.‍ The company also expressed gratitude to its customers and⁢ pledged support for impacted employees.
