On the 1st (local time), local media outlets such as the BBC in the UK announced through a post on X (formerly Twitter) about 10 hours after Oasis opened general ticket sales, “Tickets are sold out.”

In this general sale, Oasis are selling tickets for 17 concerts across the UK and Ireland in July and August next year.

It was reported that millions of people flocked to the ticket sales that started at 9 a.m. that day. The simultaneous access caused the ticket sales site server to become overloaded, resulting in successive connection failures.

Black market tickets were also on the rise, with tickets being resold for more than 40 times the original price within minutes of their pre-sale.

They started to resell for over 6,000 pounds (about 10.55 million won). The official sale price of the tickets is around 73 to 506 pounds (about 130,000 to 890,000 won) per ticket.

However, tickets for the first show on July 4th next year are being sold for between 916 and 4,519 pounds (about 1.6 million to 7.94 million won) on online ticket sales platforms.

Also, tickets for the concert to be held at Wembley Stadium in London on July 26th next year have been set at 6,000 pounds (about 10.55 million won). This is about 40 times the price of a standing-room ticket.

In response, Oasis issued a statement warning people not to resell tickets at high prices. Oasis said, “If tickets are resold on sites not affiliated with Oasis, the tickets will be canceled.”

Oasis, formed in 1991, gained popularity worldwide, producing numerous hit songs such as ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’. However, the band disbanded in 2009 due to discord between the band’s mainstays, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher.

Oasis announced their reunion on the 27th of last month through X, 15 years after their disbandment. As anticipation for the concert grows, their previously released albums are gaining popularity, once again entering the top ranks of the charts.
