Hsinchu Passenger Transport Withdraws from Miaoli Area
(Central News Agency reporter Lu Gangjun, Miaoli County, 15th) Hsinchu Passenger Transport has withdrawn from operating passenger routes in the Miaoli area, and starting tomorrow, more than 30 people gathered outside the Tongluo Township, Miaoli County Taiwan Railway Tongluo Railway Station this morning, this Hsinchu Passenger Bus 5658 took together to commemorate the occasion.
Today is the last day of operation of Hsinchu Passenger Transport’s Miaoli area passenger transport route. Xu Yufeng, representative of residents of Tongluo, Miaoli County, launched the “Let’s Commemorate Hsinchu Passenger Bus” event, inviting villagers to take Hsinchu Passenger Bus 5658 in the morning from Tongluo Railway Station and Lao Chicken Long.
Xu Yufeng said that riding the Hsinchu Passenger Bus is a memory for many people and with so many young people, he urged the public to take the bus on September 15, the last day of operation of the Hsinchu Passenger Bus in Miaoli.
Xu Yufeng said that many people responded to today’s event, from kindergarten children to 90-year-old grandparents. One of them, Mr. Xu, brought a well-kept three-year bus pass from high school, which was very meaningful and admirable.
Hsinchu City Supervision Station recently issued a press release that Hsinchu Passenger Transport will stop operating passenger transport routes in the Miaoli area, causing inconvenience to people traveling between Hsinchu and Miaoli. Hsinchu Passenger Transport Route 56668 has started from July 26.
Hsinchu City Supervision Station reported that Yijie Company will operate 10 more highway passenger routes including 5655, 5656, 5657, 5658, 5659, 5660, 5661, 5663, 5664 and stop routes in Miaoli area from September 16. The same as the original Hsinchu passenger transport route.
