National Liberation Council’s Central Working Team Meeting
A meeting of the National Liberation Council’s Central Working Team was held on Thursday, September 5, at 6 pm at the party’s central office. The meeting was chaired by Secretary Faizul Hakim and attended by prominent members, including Hasibur Rahman, Muinuddin Ahmed, Mitu Sarkar, Sourav Roy, Central Region Organizer Qayyum Hossain, Shamsul Alam, Rafiq Ahmed, Sumon Mallik, Monowarul Islam, and Anant Sarkar.
Demands for Justice and Rehabilitation
The meeting expressed outrage over the lack of arrests of those responsible for the murders of students during the popular uprising. The interim government was urged to complete the list of martyrs, injured individuals, and vulnerable people affected by the July-August student uprising and provide rehabilitation support as soon as possible.
Condemning Anti-Bangladesh Conspiracy
Allegations were made against Sheikh Hasina, accusing her of involvement in anti-Bangladesh conspiracy while taking shelter in India. The caretaker government was strongly requested to arrest Sheikh Hasina and organize a trial for the massacre of students. The meeting emphasized that students will not tolerate any laxity in this regard.
Call to Action for Student Rebellion Forces
The meeting called on student rebellion forces to remain vigilant against reactionary forces’ attempts to divert attention from the original spirit of the student rebellion by publishing non-issues.
Empowering the Working Class
The meeting emphasized the need to increase the political power of the working class by organizing and developing the power of student uprisings across the country.
