Remote Control Systems: An Engineering Project
A new project, “Remote Control Systems: An Engineering Project,” has appeared on the American crowdfunding site Kickstarter. This is an educational package that includes mechanical, electrical, and software design tools and documentation required for developing remote control systems.
Aimed at engineers and amateur hobbyists, the package aims to fill knowledge and skills gaps, equipping learners with hands-on engineering skills for multiple industry sectors, including aerospace and manufacturing.
The return to the supporter is a set of electrical wiring diagrams, CAD data, mechanical analysis results, assembly procedures, control software, and quantity calculations. The results of the system’s dynamic calculations and performance evaluations will help understand the verification process and standards of mechanical design. In addition, access to the control software will be provided, allowing the user to combine these functions to create a robot system.
All materials provided to supporters will be electronic and available on a platform provided by the project. The information provided will be for educational purposes only and cannot be used for commercial purposes.
There are three types of support: support without rewards, the “Full Package” which includes a development kit for $500 (approx. 70,000 yen), and the “Full Package++” which provides a completed version of the kit for $5,000 (approx. 700,000 yen). The project is scheduled to end on September 25, 2024.
