Revolutionizing Business: How the Groundbreaking New Law is Redefining Commercial Regulation
New Law on Trade in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Receives Positive Response
The adoption of the new law on trade in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been met with a positive response from employers and employees in the trade sector.
This comprehensive new law regulates the field of trade, aligning with several European Union acts. It covers various aspects, including the conditions and methods of conducting trade and trade services, types of trade, price formation and display, and restrictions on Sunday work.
Minela Durmo, marketing director of Amko komerc, a domestic retail chain, welcomes the new solutions that benefit employees. “We employ approximately 750 employees, and most of our 80 sales facilities are staffed by women. In the general structure, they form up to 85 percent of employees, and we recognize in this law significant benefits, especially for female employees.”
The FBiH Government explains that the new law regulates the actions and obligations of traders, and issues of importance to consumers are regulated in a more complete manner. This includes discount approval, sale at a reduced price, modern nomenclature systems, and the classification of trade forms and methods. The law also introduces new organizations, such as special market organizations, to develop market competition and equality of traders.
Durmo emphasizes that Amko komerc will continue to be socially responsible, ensuring the placement of quality domestic products. “We believe that this new law is a positive sign for the regulation of commercial activities, as it also includes concern for workers’ rights. We will continue to invest in our business, with plans to open three new facilities by the end of this year and expand our retail network to other cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
