Revolutionizing Emergency Response: Health Service Rolls Out State-of-the-Art Radio Communication Systems in Hospitals
Enhancing Emergency Response in O’Higgins Region with Advanced Radio Communication
O’Higgins Health Service has initiated the installation of 18 cutting-edge radio communication equipment in hospitals, SAMU, and SAR Oriente. This strategic move aims to establish a seamless, integrated communication network across the region, bolstering emergency response coordination and efficiency.
The installation process, which commenced this week, involves thorough inspection visits to hospitals to identify optimal installation points for the masts supporting the antennas and determine the cable distances required to connect the radios. This meticulous approach ensures a robust and reliable communication network.
Boris Moreno, Coordinator of the Integrated Emergency and Crisis Network, elaborated on the initiative, stating, “The 18 radio communication equipment was acquired through the health service’s 2023 budget. Following a comprehensive proposal process, the installation process began in September, encompassing the installation of antennas, masts, and radio equipment in 15 regional hospitals, as well as SAMU and SAR Oriente.”
This significant upgrade will facilitate enhanced communication between emergency services, ultimately improving the efficiency of emergency response and strengthening the care network throughout the O’Higgins Region.
