Yuhan Corporation has been featured on KBS 9 o’clock news for its outstanding efforts in responding to low birth rates. The report highlighted the company’s various employee welfare systems, including flexible work arrangements, reduced working hours for pregnant women, and financial support for weddings, childbirth, and child education.
Lee Su-jin, deputy manager of the factory management team, shared her personal experience of utilizing these systems, demonstrating the positive impact on employees’ work-life balance and overall well-being.
Yuhan Corporation’s commitment to supporting employees’ family needs has earned recognition from the Chungcheongbuk-do government. In July, the company was selected as an excellent company in the region for its proactive response to low birth rates, including support for marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, and childrearing.
Chungcheongbuk-do has seen a notable increase in births, with a total of 7,693 births recorded in 2023. This represents a 1.5% increase from the previous year, making it the only province among the 17 cities and provinces in the country to experience a rise in births.
