Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Expands Health Card Benefits
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has made a significant decision to include life insurance in the health card, further enhancing the benefits of this vital program.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced this development during a high-level meeting, emphasizing the provincial government’s commitment to improving healthcare services. He stated that the government is working to include treatment for more diseases in the health card, ensuring that citizens have access to comprehensive medical care.
The Chief Minister also revealed plans to include more reputable hospitals in the health card program, expanding the network of healthcare providers and giving patients more options for quality care. Additionally, he addressed concerns regarding the limited availability of heart surgery for patients under the health card at the Cardiology Institute Peshawar, citing low rates as a major issue.
To address this issue, the Chief Minister directed the health card authorities to ensure that heart patients receive the necessary operations under the health card. He assured that the state government would cover all expenses incurred during these operations, alleviating the financial burden on patients and their families.
