Apple Unveils iPhone‍ 16 and iPhone 16 ‌Plus with ‌Enhanced⁣ Features

Apple has announced the release of the 6.1-inch “iPhone 16” and the 6.7-inch “iPhone ‍16 Plus” at​ their online event. The new devices are⁣ equipped with a new chip that natively supports “Apple Intelligence”.

The iPhone 16 ‍and iPhone⁣ 16 Plus are powered by the new “A18” chip, which features a 16-core Neural Engine that provides ⁢50% faster machine learning processing compared to the ‍previous generation. The processing speed is ⁢30% faster than ⁣the⁤ iPhone ‌15’s “A16 Bionic”, and the 5-core GPU is ⁢40%‍ faster. This enhanced performance is​ designed to support Apple Intelligence processing.

The storage capacity of‌ the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus ranges‍ from 128 GB to 512 GB. Additionally, the devices feature an emergency SOS function that utilizes artificial satellites. The action button, which was first introduced on the iPhone 15 Pro, is also available on⁣ the ‌iPhone ‍16,⁤ allowing users to launch various apps.

A clickable touch sensor is‍ integrated into the side ⁢of⁤ the‌ main unit, enabling users ⁢to access “Camera Control” and operate the camera, including zoom functions. This⁣ feature can also be‍ used to activate‍ the visual information​ function of‍ Apple Intelligence, allowing users to review captured photos.

The camera system⁤ on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 ⁤Plus‌ features a ⁣dual configuration⁤ of a 48-megapixel wide-angle⁤ lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens that supports macro photography. The ultra-wide-angle camera has an improved optical system, allowing it to capture 2.6 times more light ‍and supporting AF. The camera layout has been revised to a vertical ​row,⁢ enabling users to capture spatial photos and videos.

The iPhone 16 and​ iPhone 16 Plus​ are ⁢available in⁤ five⁣ colors: ⁤black, white,‌ pink, teal, and ultramarine. The starting price for the iPhone 16 is‌ 124,800 yen, while the iPhone ⁣16 Plus starts ⁣at 139,800 yen. Pre-orders will begin ⁤on September 13th.
