Apple Unveils New AirPods with Advanced Features

Apple recently announced the new AirPods at an event on the 9th (local time). The latest lineup includes AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation, AirPods Pro 2 with a hearing aid function, and AirPods Max with a USB-C charging terminal.

AirPods 4: Advanced Noise Cancellation and Sound Quality

AirPods 4 are equipped with the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) function, which was previously available in the Pro model. This feature allows users to mute or listen to ambient noise in different situations. Additionally, the Adaptive EQ automatically adjusts sound quality to fit the shape of your ears, while the dynamic head tracking technology adds sound technology that helps create a sense of space appropriate for individual situations.

The voice isolation function clearly emphasizes the human voice and minimizes ambient sounds. Users can also control Siri without speaking, by nodding or shaking their head in situations where they can’t use their hands or have difficulty speaking.

Battery Life and Charging

AirPods 4 offer up to 5 hours of listening time on a single charge and up to 30 hours with the charging case. The ANC model provides up to 4 hours of listening time or up to 20 hours with the charging case. The ANC model’s charging case is also equipped with a speaker for ‘Find My’.

AirPods Pro 2: Enhanced Hearing Protection

AirPods Pro 2 adds several features to protect your hearing health, including hearing tests, hearing aid features, and active hearing protection. Users can test their hearing in a quiet place using the AirPods settings or the Health app. After testing, they can control the sound with their personalized profile. If they have hearing loss, they will be asked to set up their hearing aid settings.

AirPods Max: USB-C Charging Terminal and Color Options

The charging terminal of AirPods Max has been changed to a USB-C type. The device is available in Blue, Purple, Midnight, Starlight, and Orange.

Pricing and Availability

The regular AirPods 4 model is priced at 199,000 won, the active noise canceling model is priced at 269,000 won, the AirPods Pro 2 is priced at 349,000 won, and the AirPods Max is priced at 768,000 won. The devices are expected to be officially released on September 20th, and advance reservations are currently being accepted on the official website.
